Is this service independent of a product purchase?
Yes. The measurement has standalone diagnostic value. There is no requirement to purchase a product from MSN Audio.
What is measured?
The main listening position is measured with left, right and combined responses. The subwoofer service also measures the subwoofer separately and together with the main speakers.
Will you change speaker or subwoofer settings?
Practical placement or setup adjustments may be tested during the visit when they are safe and realistic. The service does not include unlimited tuning or full system commissioning.
Can I book two or more subwoofers?
No. Systems with two or more subwoofers are outside the two standard online purchase options on this page.
Does this include Dirac, Trinnov or Audyssey setup?
No. Complete room-correction configuration is outside the standard service and requires a separate assessment.
How do I choose between the two services?
Choose Speakers Only when no subwoofer will be measured. Choose Speakers + One Subwoofer when one subwoofer needs separate and combined measurements plus basic integration checks.

What the visit includes
The purpose of the visit is to turn “something does not sound right” into a specific question that can be measured, explained and tested further.
- Pre-visit review
The submitted system, room dimensions, photographs, main symptoms and selected service scope are reviewed before travel.
- Baseline listening
Familiar music is used to confirm the reported experience—such as bass bloom, recessed vocals, weak impact, missing notes or congestion at higher level.
- Calibrated microphone measurement
Within the selected package, left, right and combined responses are measured at the main listening position. The A$349 service also measures one subwoofer separately and in combination with the main loudspeakers.
- Limited on-site verification
Where time, access and safety allow, one or a small number of reversible placement or setting changes may be tested to verify the direction. This is not full installation or repeated system tuning.
- Practical explanation
Major peaks, cancellations, distribution and decay behaviour are explained in language that relates to the listening experience. The graph is not presented as a score for the system.
- Concise diagnostic snapshot
A one-page Room & Bass Snapshot records the main observations, the current limitation and the most useful next variable to verify.

What the standard service does not include
This is a focused two-channel diagnostic—not a complete room-design project, home-theatre commissioning service or building-acoustics assessment.
- Full calibration or optimisation of two or more subwoofers.
- Multi-seat home-theatre measurement and complete cinema tuning.
- Full configuration of Dirac, Trinnov, Audyssey or another processor.
- Building isolation, external-noise or neighbour-noise assessment.
- Complete acoustic design, construction specifications or engineering drawings.
- Product installation, construction work, concealed cabling, drilling or permanent mounting.
- Unlimited loudspeaker, seat, subwoofer or equipment repositioning.
- A guarantee that a particular product will solve every issue in the room.
Multiple subwoofers, home theatre and other complex projects must be reviewed before booking and require a separate written scope and quotation.
