The audition is held by appointment in the MSN Audio residential listening environment in Croydon, Victoria. We share the full address when the appointment is confirmed.
Can I bring my current DAC or streamer?
One DAC or streamer may be accepted by prior arrangement. Please provide its model, outputs, power requirements and connection details so compatibility can be confirmed first.
How is the MSB audition configuration confirmed?
Tell us about your current system, listening priorities and preferred timing. We then confirm the MSB model, connections and supporting equipment that will make the session most useful.
Is the session a blind or laboratory test?
No. It is a structured listening comparison using familiar music. It is not a blind test, a laboratory test or a precision level-matched measurement procedure.
Is advice included?
Advice relevant to the MSB purchase being considered is included. The audition is not sold as a separate general Hi-Fi consulting package.
Do I have to purchase during the session?
No. The session is designed to support a considered decision. There is no requirement to place an order during the appointment.

What the session is designed to answer
The audition is most useful for clients already considering a serious digital-front-end decision. It is designed to help you hear MSB’s presentation in a complete reference system, compare it with the source you know where practical, and understand which current MSB direction is relevant to your budget and system.

You may request to bring one compatible DAC or streamer. Submit the brand, model, output type, required input and any control requirements in advance. MSN Audio will confirm whether the comparison is practical before accepting the appointment.
If you would like to bring a DAC or streamer, send us its model and connection details first. The session is a focused private comparison rather than an open multi-brand event or repair appointment.

What to bring
A useful audition is not defined by the number of products compared. It begins with one clear decision and music you know well.
- Bring two to five familiar tracks that you regularly listen to in full.
- Provide a brief note on your current digital source, amplification, loudspeakers and room.
- Decide on the one question you most want the session to answer.
- If written approval has been provided, bring only the one DAC or streamer confirmed for comparison.

What the appointment does not include
This is a focused private MSB and digital-front-end audition. It is not an open showroom, repair service or unlimited equipment comparison.
- Walk-in visits, an open showroom or people who are not named on the booking.
- Routine in-home MSB demonstration.
- Open multi-brand shoot-outs or unlimited equipment comparison.
- Repair, modification, firmware work or technical troubleshooting of equipment brought to the session.
- Room measurement, loudspeaker placement, subwoofer calibration or full-system tuning; these sit outside this service.
- A guarantee that every MSB model, option or configuration will be physically available for demonstration.

Location and privacy
The listening environment is in Croydon, Victoria. We provide the full private address after the appointment is confirmed. Sessions are private, and attendance is limited to the people named on the booking.

Interstate clients
Clients outside Victoria can register interest for future city-based MSB audition activity. Dates, products, fees and locations are confirmed only when a programme becomes viable.
