Using the Discrete DAC
Purpose
- Converts digital music into the analogue signal your amplifier uses.
- Built-in volume control lets it feed a suitable power amplifier directly.

- Connect a CD transport or streamer through coaxial, AES/EBU or optical input.
- Choose a compatible USB or network module if your music comes from a computer or home network.

Inputs that can change with your sources
Two replaceable input modules sit alongside the fixed digital connections, so changing a source need not mean changing the whole DAC.
Volume control at the DAC
Balanced XLR outputs and built-in volume control allow a direct connection to a suitable power amplifier, or a connection through your existing preamplifier.

Connecting and setting up
- Use the DAC volume control when connecting directly to a power amplifier.
- With a separate preamplifier, its volume control can remain in charge of the system.

- Digital inputs only. A turntable needs a phono stage and a separate analogue input elsewhere in the system.
- Input modules and an additional power supply are configuration choices; the quotation lists what is included.
