AVAA C214

AVAA C214 is built for the bass that keeps ringing after the note should have stopped. It actively absorbs low-frequency room pressure from 15–160Hz without being inserted into your music signal path.

WHO IT IS FOR

When AVAA C214 is most worth considering

What it is designed to change

  • Reduce excess low-frequency pressure and resonance in the room
  • Shorten bass overhang without putting DSP in the playback signal path

A strong fit for rooms where

  • REW or other measurements show low-frequency energy hanging on for too long
  • Large deep-bass passive traps are impractical and you need a compact acoustic-domain option

Especially useful if you want to

  • See measured proof before committing to one or two units
  • Treat the room while leaving your DAC, preamp and main playback path untouched

ARCHITECTURE

How C214 absorbs bass without touching your music signal.

01

Pressure-based active absorption

Microphones inside the C214 sense low-frequency room pressure, while its actuator and electronics work to absorb that energy across the 15–160Hz operating range.

02

Use it standalone or control it from the app

The unit can operate independently, while the AVAA Controller App provides remote on/off and sensitivity control over a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

03

The best position is found in the room

Corners and rigid walls are good places to start. The useful position is the one that performs best when you compare it in your own room.

ROOM FIT

The room decides the position, and whether one or two units are worth it.

Before we recommend a configuration, we look at the room, practical placement options, the system and the bass problem you actually want to fix.

What we confirm before recommending a setup

  • Whether you want C214 to remain completely outside the main playback signal path
  • Which practical positions and sensitivity settings produce the most useful result

What C214 cannot be decided from a spec sheet

  • 15–160Hz is the operating range, not a promise that every frequency in every room will improve
  • The actual change in level and decay needs to be measured in the room
  • Quantity and final placement are best decided by comparing real positions, not by room size alone
  • If you need more bass extension, a deep null fixed, or a full room diagnosis, another solution may be the better first step

NOT SURE YET? MEASURE FIRST

If you do not yet know whether C214 is the right tool, start with an independent room measurement.

Our Room & Bass Measurement can show whether the real issue is excess resonance, slow decay, cancellation, placement or subwoofer integration, without assuming C214 is the answer.

FAQ

Questions buyers usually ask before ordering.

Does AVAA C214 require calibration?+

No microphone calibration or target curve is required for the C214 to operate. But the room still determines where it works best and how much sensitivity is useful, so evaluation remains worthwhile.

How many units are required?+

There is no universal number. One may be enough; a second may add meaningful improvement. The most reliable way to decide is to compare them in the room.

Where should it be placed?+

Corners and rigid boundaries are good starting points, but the best practical position is the one that performs best in your room.

Is it EQ or noise cancellation?+

No. C214 works on acoustic pressure in the room. It does not sit in the playback signal path and it is not a phase-cancellation system.

Can the free room model tell me whether C214 will work?+

No. The free model can highlight frequencies worth investigating, but only real measurement can show the actual decay and tell you whether treatment is justified.

Can AVAA C214 operate without internet access?+

Yes. C214 can operate without an internet connection. The app uses 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi for remote control; once it is set up on your local network, internet access is not required for local control. Check the current PSI manual for device compatibility.

What are the Australian price, warranty and usual delivery timing?+

A$6,199 each. Standard warranty is five years, with one additional year after product registration. Australia-wide shipping is free; current stock and delivery timing are confirmed when you enquire.
