It can operate without a room-calibration procedure, but suitability, candidate position and sensitivity still depend on the room. No calibration does not mean no evaluation.
How many units are required?+

Where should it be placed?+

Is it EQ or noise cancellation?+
No. It acts on room pressure without entering the playback signal path, and the manufacturer states that it is not a phase-cancellation system.
Can the free room model tell me that I need it?+
No. A geometry model can prioritise bands to investigate, but it cannot measure real decay or prescribe treatment.
Can AVAA C214 operate without internet access?+
Yes. Standalone operation does not require wireless. App remote control uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi; after local network setup, an internet connection is not required for local control. Current device compatibility should be checked in the official manual.
