REAL MELBOURNE RESULT
In a real Melbourne room, C214 reduced the bass that kept hanging around.
In one MSN Audio REW case, the dominant 40–45Hz peak fell by roughly 5–7dB. Visible decay in the same region shortened by around 100–220ms, while the 75–85Hz tail fell from about 650ms to roughly 265–370ms.

WHEN C214 IS NOT THE ANSWER
C214 is not the answer to every bass problem, and that is exactly why we measure first.
If your main problem is a deep cancellation, we may recommend moving the loudspeakers, listening position or subwoofer instead. If you simply want deeper bass, you need a subwoofer. Higher-frequency reflections and soundproofing are different problems again.

Not always. Deep cancellations are often better addressed through loudspeaker, listening-position, phase or multi-sub changes. C214 is strongest when excess resonance and slow decay are the problem.
