REAL MELBOURNE RESULT
In a real Melbourne room, C214 reduced the bass that kept hanging around.
In one MSN Audio REW case, the dominant 40 to 45Hz peak fell by roughly 5 to 7dB. Visible decay in the same region shortened by around 100 to 220ms, while the 75 to 85Hz tail fell from about 650ms to roughly 265 to 370ms.
Some low-frequency problems remained, while the measured decay became shorter in these bands. This is one room’s result; the demonstration shows how your own room responds.

WHEN C214 IS NOT THE ANSWER
What C214 can and cannot change
If your main problem is a deep cancellation, we may recommend moving the loudspeakers, listening position or subwoofer instead. If you simply want deeper bass, you need a subwoofer. Higher-frequency reflections and soundproofing are different problems again.

Not always. Deep cancellations are often better addressed through loudspeaker, listening-position, phase or multi-sub changes. C214 is strongest when excess resonance and slow decay are the problem.
