PSI AUDIO · AVAA C214 ONLY

Active low-frequency absorption for resonance and decay that conventional treatment may struggle to reach.

AVAA C214 is a pressure-based active bass absorber operating from 15 to 160 Hz. It is particularly relevant where deep-bass passive treatment would require substantial depth or surface area, and where measured evidence shows excess resonance or slow decay. It is not a phase-cancellation device and it is not a universal remedy for missing bass or a deep null.

Measure before specifying

Frequency-response and decay measurements help establish whether AVAA addresses the problem you actually have.

MEASUREMENT-LED

Establish the room problem before discussing control.

A Melbourne Room & Bass Measurement can identify the bands and decay behaviour that deserve attention without presuming AVAA is the answer.

01

The problem AVAA is designed to address

At low frequencies, a room may continue storing energy after the musical event has stopped. The audible result can be one-note bass, overlapping notes, reduced clarity and congestion as playback level rises.

AVAA C214 is a pressure-based active absorber operating from 15 to 160 Hz. It works in the room rather than in the main music signal path and is particularly relevant where passive low-frequency treatment would require substantial depth or surface area.

02

What AVAA does not prove on its own

A deep cancellation, missing bass at one seat, poor source/listener geometry or incorrect subwoofer integration may require placement or additional low-frequency sources rather than more absorption. AVAA C214 is not a phase-cancellation device and does not fill every null.

For that reason, MSN Audio does not recommend C214 from symptoms alone. If the problem has not yet been measured, a microphone-based assessment is the clearest place to start.

03

Melbourne assessment and demonstration

The paid Room & Bass Measurement identifies major peaks, cancellations and decay behaviour. If the result and room are suitable, a C214 demonstration may be arranged as part of the assessment or follow-up process. Demonstration availability is confirmed before the appointment.

Product enquiries across Australia

Clients outside Melbourne may enquire about current Australian pricing and availability. Tell us about the room and the problem you want to solve. We use that information, and local measurement where needed, to discuss quantity and placement without asking you to guess.
